What the numbers mean

Five teenagers sitting together on steps sharing a laptop and notebooks

2,500+

Education

Learners supported with a device, data, offline material, or mentoring. Counted once per learner per year, not per session, so the number reflects people rather than activity.

450+

Agriculture

Farming households that received inputs and completed at least one full training cycle. We count households, since decisions about land and harvest are made together.

320+

Community Finance

Livelihood initiatives supported with small-scale funding plus mentoring. An initiative counts only once it is trading or producing, not when funds are released.

Featured impact story

From Limited Access to New Possibilities

The challenge

A household of five, one income, and a school too far to reach during planting season. Attendance slipped first, then confidence.

The support

A shared device, a monthly data allowance, offline coursework, and a mentor call each week — plus an evening study circle run by a neighbour trained as a facilitator.

The change

The school year was completed on time. Two younger siblings now use the same device, and the study circle has fourteen regular members.

In their words

  • Having access to learning from home changed what I believed was possible.

  • The training did not tell us what to grow. It helped us decide, and then it stayed with us through the season.

  • I started with one sewing machine. This year I trained two neighbours myself.
